Service FAQ

Commonly asked questions about booking our services.

Keys

How do I give you my keys?

Our preferred way to exchange keys is via a combination lock box at your home. If this isn't an option for any reason, we have several other options

- combination lock box outside ECC headquarters

- during the meet & greet, if scheduled

How do I get my keys back from you?

If you have a lock box, we can leave the keys there! Otherwise we will leave the keys somewhere agreed upon, or we'll use our best judgment finding a safe hiding spot, or the lockbox outside ECC, or we may ocassionally be able to drop the keys off to you after you return.

How do you store my keys?

All keys are stored in a secure area, only accessible by employees of ECC. Keys are labeled with cat names ONLY, never home address or client name.

Non-Cat Tasks

Do you help with household tasks?

Absolutely! We happily take care of minor tasks such as bringing in mail/packages, watering a few plants, adjusting the temperature, and rotating lights to give your home a 'lived-in' look while you are away. Let us know of any other home care concerns!

Video Cameras

Is it ok if I have video cameras?

Of course! We totally understand wanting to keep an eye on your kitty. All we ask is a) you disclose your cameras b) there are no cameras in private areas like bathrooms, or sleeping area if an overnight stay.

Updates

How are updates sent?

After every visit, you’ll receive an update via text or email if you prefer, including beautiful photos and detailed notes about your cat’s activities, appetite, and mood.

Other

What happens in case of emergency?

In an emergency, we will immediately contact you and your designated emergency contact. If medical care is needed, we will transport your cat to your primary vet or the nearest 24/7 ER vet.

What happens if my plans change?

No problem! Plans change all the time and at ECC we pride ourselves on rolling with whatever. If your plans change, contact us as soon as you can. We'll do our best to acommodate changes to your booking or a refund if necessary!

How far in advance should I book?

Consistency is key for quality care. We generally recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak holiday periods and summer months when our schedule fills up quickly.

Meet & Greets

Will you come by for a meet & greet?

Of course! Contact us to schedule.

What's the charge for a meet & greet?

No charge!
